Overview of Obedience Training

We know the importance of a well-trained dog at East Texas Elite Kennels! We teach your four-legged friend the skills needed to appear in public. After your dog completes our six-week basic general obedience course, you'll feel confident taking your pet anywhere for the rest of its life.

Your pet will stay at our facility during the duration of its training. During that time, you can rest assured your pup will be receiving the exercise, proper nutrition, love, care, and attention they deserve.

The reason we ask your pet to stay on-site is to ensure no bad habits are formed during the training process. During the training process, your dog will not only learn the commands but will also have the commands reiterated in a distracting environment.

If you're going on vacation, our obedience classes are a great alternative to traditional boarding services for dogs in need of training. Shorter target-specific training sessions are available upon request.

Ryan, Hayley, and the team at East Texas Elite Kennels exceeded my expectations in every way possible. They communicated with me through the whole process not just telling me what I wanted to hear. When pickup was scheduled, Ryan spent an entire morning showing me how to handle certain situations and the dog's abilities. In 5 short months, my dog was performing like I did not think was possible due to 12 months spent with another kennel and very little progress. Can’t wait to take him back after hunting season to see where he can go. Keep up the good work guys.
